This project was made to demonstrate a font's use in its entirety while demonstrating skill in experimental typography, color, and composition. The first poster features a full specimen of Walbaum Fraktur and presents the figures in a way that embodies the values and practices of the blackletter while referencing its more contemporary uses. The second poster features a full specimen of Baskerville, presented in a way that honors the transitional style of John Baskerville while experimenting specifically with form and grouping. The third features a full specimen of Franklin Gothic, and explores its modern, streamlined look in contructing typographic form. Each poster needed to be thoroughly researched beforehand and the process in creating them included both reading about the typefaces and studying specimens provided by creators and foundires.
